Hybrid Role in Des Moines, IA SPS Commerce is growing! We are looking to add a Product Owner on our Automotive Aftermarket Team.
The Product Owner will be responsible for conveying the product vision created by Product Management to the engineering team by creating user stories, user story acceptance criteria and accepting these stories as part of the definition of done.
Success is measured by impact to a product's profitability and customer retention and the ability to help lead a balanced and predictable engineering team.
The role will work closely with peers to articulate priority and manage delivery trade-offs.
The Product Owner will own, prioritize, and groom the product backlog - consulting with product managers, prospects, customers, and other stakeholders.
The role will collaborate and communicate daily with the software engineering and user experience (UX) teams to oversee and approve product designs, enhancements, and quality.

What is the day to day like? Partner with product manager(s) to understand the market and the customers you are serving to convey that vision to engineering and other stakeholders.
Leverage that market understanding to better inform day to day tradeoffs of features and timing.
Manage and refine requirements-gathering effort on the epics as needed, consulting with product management, prospects, customers, and other stakeholders.
Write detailed acceptance criteria as part of user story creation.
Respond to questions from developers and clarify requirements related to voice of customer (VOC) and business requirements.
Iterate product designs in collaboration with UX and engineering teams.
Demonstrates the latest iterations to customers and internal stakeholders (prerelease) to gather feedback.
Participate in scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, grooming and release planning.
What is required? Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
What is preferred? Prior experience working in an agile development environment.
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
