Essential Functions:
Demonstrates professional, appropriate, effective and tactful written, verbal, and nonverbal communication with patient, families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments throughout the continuum of care to promote continuity of care and services and enhance clinic image.
Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts.
Utilizes interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships with healthcare members, patients, and families.
Participates in staff development activities and orientation as requested.
Proactively acts as patient advocate, responding to and working to resolve patient concerns.
Responsible for following equipment maintenance protocol, identifying problems, and coordinating appropriate repairs.
Participates effectively as a team member in the clinic Participates with Clinic Management in the decision making process related to the planning, organization and control of the clinic system's goals and operations to provide healthcare services to meet community healthcare needs.
Directs and assist clinic managers in the implementation and application of the plans derived from goals.
Assists and makes recommendations in the development, implementation and maintenance of programs, policies, and procedures for Mercy Clinics Inc.

Assures that the philosophy and mission of Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines is visual in the operation and direction of Mercy Clinics.
Communicates and promotes a strong commitment to this mission.
Collaborates with clinic medical staff and coordinates recruitment of new managers.
Directs and coordinates orientation of Clinic Mangers.
Acts as resource for Clinic Mangers regarding operational issues in areas such as human resources, security, and confidentiality.
Directs and assists clinic management staff in complying with applicable laws and regulations relative to clinic operations.
With input from clinic medical directors, CEO, COO, and CFO, assists clinic managers with current clinic environment and determines human, financial and material resources necessary to accomplish each clinic's objectives.
Directs clinic managers in utilizing human resource policies, programs and practices that support the ability to attract, retain and motivate qualified personnel who are committed to providing optimal achievable healthcare services.
Provides input to annual review of pay plan for clinic system.
Initiates and participates in internal and external meetings with parties such as clinic physicians, Mercy staff, clinic managers, and other clinic employees for purposes such as interdepartmental coordination, communications, policy development and promotion of the clinics.
Acts as a resource to clinic managers in regard to services provided by Mercy departments.
Directs and assists the operation, implementation and maintenance of the computer billing system for the clinic system.
Acts as resource to clinics on computer operation functions and capabilities.
Monitors and reports compliance with clinic system requirements for audits of patient charts to ascertain staff compliance with established parameters for documentation.
Identifies, monitors, evaluates and recommends written plan of internal control procedures utilized by staff in daily operation.
Acts as a role model in maintaining professional growth and in seeking out and sharing new information.
Presents a positive image to community and professional contacts.
Assists clinic managers in coordinating maintenance of existing clinic facilities.
Participates in the design and development of any new clinic facilities to promote optimal functionality of facilities.
Assists in the on-going supervision of any clinic construction projects.
Coordinates clinic managers in clinic relocations or moves.
Coordinates with clinic managers the smooth transition of new physicians into the clinic system operationally and for billing purposes.
Acts as liaison with Mercy Medical Center and clinic sites regarding new services, changes, etc Performs as Acting Manager in the absence of clinic manager.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS Operation of various office machines Assists in variety of clinic specific functions to facilitate effective and efficient flow of services.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Work requires a professional level of knowledge in the healthcare field, which would be acquired through certification or licensure in medical field (i.
e.
RN, CMA, etc) Three years clinic management experience.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
