Product Owner Lead

Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will lead and collaborate daily with a team of Product Owners, multiple lines of the business, and IT to refine, organize, and prioritize requests in accordance with corporate strategies and goals.
The Head of Product Management ensures teams are working on items that will deliver maximum value and are aligned with strategic vision.
As the leader of our Product Management, you will play a critical role in fostering secure operational performance through the use of technologies, cloud solutions, applications, products, and systems.
In this newly created position, you will lead the generation and management of work to be completed by the Product Owner and IT teams based on the needs of the operating unit.
A critical success factor is the ability to communicate regularly with key Operating Unit and IT leaders to ensure alignment on priorities, deliverables, barriers, and success.
You will:
Collaborate with system users and business stakeholders to understand their additional needs, prioritize accordingly, and engage in active communication with internal stakeholders to ensure we're adapting and iterating at an appropriate pace.
Develop the plan to implement technology stacks that set our organization up for long-term success.
Similarly, you will evaluate technology stacks that no longer drive value to the business or its users.
Participate in the visioning for applications, products, and processes by defining the 'What' and the 'Why' and understanding alignment to the corporate goals and objectives.
Coach, mentor, and develop a team of Product Owners to successfully integrate into the business and derive value for the operations and IT organization.
Providing industry focused vision and direction to the Information Technology team.
This position and team will act as a primary liaison between IT and business.
Within 6 months you will be able to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems for our work processes for multiple lines of business.
Within 18 months you will be the team lead on multiple significant business process implementation projects representing multiple product areas to ensure goals and deliverables are met.
Responsibilities:
Drive product vision, strategies, and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
Influence and motivate cross functional teams with a focus on getting things done.
Work with key business and IT partners to break down high level business strategies, develop core positioning and messaging for the product, and deliver innovative solutions Optimizes the value of work performed by the team and ensures stakeholders understand the overall product strategy and product roadmap by maintaining and ensuring the product roadmap and product backlog are visible to all those involved with the product Makes decisions that determine the profitability of the product (ROI) Provides input and guidance to the business support team on the current and future state of the product portfolio.
Maintains third party relationships and evaluates vendor solutions for integration into operations.
Partner across the enterprise with IT and Operations to deeply understand the problem space and to prioritize opportunities.
Manage competing priorities with consistency and transparency.
Collect feedback to improve each product portfolio.
Establish and maintain metrics for product performance that align to business goals and customer outcomes.
Manage a team of Product Owners dedicated to each line of business with strong ownership in successful outcomes.
Lead a high performing team that delivers results in accordance with stated goals using the organizational values as a guide.
Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required Eight years of experience in the field of large-scale IT projects, IT consulting or business analysis or equivalent subject matter expertise in applicable business field, including at least four years of experience as a product owner or a related role.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the company.
Strong strategic thinking/vision and decision-making skills including business savvy and relationship management.
Demonstrated track record of driving change successfully as demonstrated by stakeholder adoption.
Collaborative mindset - this is a highly cross-functional role.
Do-what-it-takes attitude; we work to find answers and bias towards action.
Ability to develop and manage multiple business imperatives.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
