Sr. Continuous Improvement Analyst

Job DescriptionIndependently leads efforts to define business intelligence and reporting needs, design and implement reporting solutions and performance metrics that support business needs of operations and corporate teams.
Promotes enterprise-wide utilization of common, consistent measurements and reporting tools to make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities:
Works independently to design and build enterprise-wide reporting and data analysis tools.
Ensures reporting is in a useable format to determine trends, issues, or problem areas requiring root cause analysis.
Leads project teams and works with functional leaders to determine business reporting needs and requirements, develop and maintain appropriate documentation, and conducts data analysis projects to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Utilizes reporting/database tools and software such as Microsoft Excel and Access and Power BI to develop reports that are easily understood by end-users.
Mentors, trains, and provides coaching to other analysts and business users on these tools to ensure adoption of reporting and metrics.
Reviews and analyzes data from multiple internal and external sources.
Identifies data errors, discrepancies and reporting issues.
Performs data analysis and communicates results and recommendations to business partners and leaders from various functional areas.
Identifies opportunities to create common and consistent reporting across multiple functional areas of business units whenever possible.
Works with business leaders to develop consistent metrics that can be used for internal benchmarking and comparison.
Updates, maintains, manipulates, and administers various reporting and database systems to ensure data accuracy and reporting continuity.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
RequirementsJob Requirements/Minimum
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field of study.
Experience:
3-5 yearsType of
Experience:
experience with database queries, report writing, and data analysis.
Practical experience supporting transportation operations, leading data analysis efforts, or leading process improvement initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Candidate must have practical experience with business intelligence and analytic processes and methods.
Demonstrated exptertise with Microsoft Excel and Access, Sequel, Power BI, or other reporting tools in addition to MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methods, including Lean and Six Sigma.
Must have experience implementing effective business intelligence and reporting solutions in a variety of business settings and situations.
Candidates must be able to analyze and document complex business processes, make effective decisions under pressure, think analytically, and be a problem solver by gathering and interpreting relevant data and information.
Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a multi-task environment with little and remote supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication are a must, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
Must be self-directed and self-motivated, with an ownership mentality and willingness to roll up your sleeves working at all levels of the organization.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
