Responsibilities:
o Refugee Services Driver (RSD) drives DAS Fleet Services vehicle, or Bureau of Refugee Services (BRS) vehicle to transport eligible clients from their home, or designated locations, to scheduled appointments (e.
g.
medical, driver's license), places of employment, and/or community events related to resettlement social services.
o RSD will be in charge of vehicle maintenance in coordination with Mobility Services Coordinator (MSC).
o RSD is responsible for inspection of vehicle prior to every transport and maintenance of required records.
o RSD will follow all DOT road regulations.
o RSD will receive day-to-day work guidance from the MSC, but will be supervised by the Refugee Services Supervisor (RSS).
o RSD will work with MSC on ridership schedules, which are created weekly or ad hoc as needed with RSD input.
o RSD will keep up to date on professional training opportunities related to effective and safe driving.
o RSD will participate in Mobility Services team meetings as needed.
o Must possess a valid driver's license o RSD must be able to receive and make calls to clients who may have not English language ability, using an employer issues smart phone and a telephone interpreting service.
o RSD must be able to work intermittently during various shifts during any give 24 hour period, including nights and weekends.
o RSD must be able to handle emergency situations with or without immediate access to a supervisor.
o Assure the client specific information is handled in compliance with DHS confidentiality rules Candidate needs to possess a valid driver's license.

The starting salary for new state employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range.
