PRODUCT SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
High level of customer service on a daily basis Sourcing Products Negotiating pricing, freight, and delivery times Preparing all bid documents and maintaining bid log Secure bid bonds as needed Build long standing relationships with customers by having proactive communication Communicate with all customers in a timely, professional, and courteous manner Provide information about the products and services Document and update customer records based on interactions Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services Plan and organizes tasks and work responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives while remaining calm and professional under pressure Follow company policies and procedures Other duties as needed and requested by management PRODUCT SPECIALIST EDUCATION AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED Required 1-3 years of experience Merchandiser or Product Specialist, or in a similar role is preferred Experience with industrial, safety, maintenance, janitorial, or packaging products preferred Ability to build rapport with clients, prioritize, and multitask Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Team player with strong organizational skills Good attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate Self motivated and posses a high level of productivity and organization Customer-focused attitude and desire to grow with and contribute to customer-focused company Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm, professional attitude PRODUCT SPECIALIST PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards Full - Time position during normal business hours Extended periods of sitting Reliable and regular attendance is required Job Type:
