Overview:
Supporting our client's commercial energy efficiency programs, the Energy Auditor/Assessor is responsible for performing small business energy audits/assessments and direct installation of quick energy savings measures within the energy efficiency incentive program areas. This
position
requires technical capacity and strong personal skills. The successful candidate will report directly to the Program
manager
who oversees program implementation activities. Position located in Des Moines, IA
Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities include field visits with site walk-through assessments and verifications.
Identification of equipment, appliance and building shell characteristics.
Identification and evaluation of energy efficiency measures, calculation of potential energy savings and audit report preparation utilizing provided software.
Ability to sell and professionally install quick energy savings measures at the time of the assessment.
Willingness to work in variable weather conditions.
Ability to utilize basic hand and power tools, as well as climb ladders for access.
Receive direction and provide feedback to the Program Coordinator.
Identify improvement barriers and report information to the Program Manager
Requirements:
2
plus years' experience delivering energy audits or equivalent industry work experience as auditor, installer, etc.
Microsoft Office Suite experience, with strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Understanding of building energy systems
Self-motivated and continuous drive to deliver on goals
Willingness to be a road warrior
Must have the ability to utilize tablet and mobile devices for assessments and communication.
Must pass a background check and have good driving record
US Citizen due to government contract.
