While based in our Des Moines office, provide Human Resources and Safety assistance to aggregate plants and underground mines located in Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska. Ensure procedures, practices and programs are consistent with established Division and Corporate policy. Implement, monitor and maintain safety, health and human resource programs and facilitate corrective measures as necessary. Provide guidance and assistance to ensure compliance with state and federal employee relations and safety regulations. Duties include providing professional and technical assistance to the operations and to ensure that procedures, practices, and programs are consistent with established Corporate, local, state, and Federal regulations. The successful candidate would be responsible for establishing and maintaining a world-class safety program that promotes an injury-free work environment. Duties also include compliance with MSHA Laws and Regulations; monitoring safety activity; performing plant inspections for hazards; providing recommendations for corrective/preventive actions; conducting employee-training programs; performing root cause analysis; and the investigation of incidents and injuries, in addition to supporting the business in other related areas as assigned.
- Manage all aspects of Safety for a specific geographic area: developing annual safety plans and monitoring performance, manage worker's compensation claims and case management, facilitate and participate in all safety meetings, safety audits and plant observations, actively support the safety committees, ensure all accident and incidents are properly investigated, liaison with the appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Manage all aspects of Human Resources for a specific geographic area: Maintain liaison role with employees and local unions (where applicable), investigations of safety or employee concerns, represent employee concerns to management, counsel, coach and guide employees and supervisors, responsibility for the recruitment and on-boarding of new employees, maintain AA compliance.
Must have:
3 to 5 years HR/Safety experience required, preferably in aggregate production or construction
Strong background in State and Federal regulatory compliance, which includes MSHA
Strong leadership, decision-making, and employee relations skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (both written and verbal).
Must be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time within both HR and Safety.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
College degree required and BS in Safety and Health preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
